About the Role
Golden Bell's Multi Concepts (GBMC) Limited is a premier hospitality consulting and management firm renowned for delivering world-class service standards across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and professional Porter to join our dynamic Front Office Department at our Peter Odili location in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In this role, you will serve as one of the primary welcoming touchpoints for our guests, creating memorable first impressions and providing exceptional support throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, open doors, and provide immediate assistance with luggage and personal belongings.
- Escort guests to their designated rooms, ensuring they are familiar with room amenities, lighting controls, and safety features.
- Maintain the cleanliness, order, and professional appearance of the lobby, entranceways, and front office luggage storage areas.
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, offering helpful information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation options.
- Manage valet parking requests, parcel deliveries, and messages efficiently and with high attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with the front desk and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless guest check-ins, room changes, and check-outs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety, security, and sanitation standards while representing the Golden Bell's brand with pride.
- Minimum of OND, SSCE, or relevant academic qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven previous experience working as a Porter, Bellhop, or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with a naturally polite and helpful demeanor.
- Physical stamina and fitness required to stand for extended periods and lift heavy luggage safely.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, to meet operational demands.
- Reside in or be readily able to commute to Peter Odili, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
