About the Role
Faith Comprehensive International Secondary School (FACISS), a leading co-educational day and boarding institution located at No. 17 School Road, Okutukutu, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, is seeking a passionate and qualified Physical and Health Education (PHE) Teacher. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and structured PHE lessons in accordance with the national and international secondary school curriculum.
- Co-ordinate, supervise, and coach students in various sports, intramural games, and inter-house athletic competitions.
- Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records of academic and physical performance.
- Promote physical fitness, good sportsmanship, health awareness, and safety rules among all students.
- Manage sports equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and ready for use.
- Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and extracurricular activities as assigned by school management.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Health Education (B.Ed / B.Sc.Ed) or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school environment within Nigeria.
- Strong passion for youth development, sports coaching, and holistic student wellness.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to instill discipline, teamwork, and positive moral values aligned with the school ethos.
