NEM Health Limited, operating as NemHealth HMO, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and enrollees to ensure the safe and efficient handling of pharmaceutical products and services.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and labeling prescribed medications accurately.
  • Receive and verify prescriptions from healthcare providers and enrollees, ensuring completeness and correctness.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, stock levels, and expiry dates.
  • Support the dispensing process by ensuring medications are issued in line with approved guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Provide basic information to patients regarding dosage instructions, potential side effects, and proper medication usage under supervision.
  • Coordinate with the pharmacy team to reorder stock and manage supply chain needs efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical laws, health regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy or dispensing unit.
  • Support administrative tasks such as documentation, claims processing, and reporting related to pharmaceutical services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care to enrollees.

 

Qualifications
  • A recognized qualification in Pharmacy Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience in a pharmacy, hospital, or healthcare setting is required.
  • Valid registration/licensing with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) or relevant regulatory body will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dosage forms, and dispensing procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling medication and records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and reporting.
