About the Role
District 9 Branded Residences (Velmonti Palace) is Abuja's upcoming landmark ultra-luxury destination, and we are opening our doors for world-class hospitality talent! We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Painter to help us maintain the impeccable aesthetic standards of our prestigious property. In this role, you will be responsible for the surface preparation, painting, and finishing of interior and exterior spaces, ensuring every corner reflects the pinnacle of luxury and elegance that our brand represents.
Key Responsibilities- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, fixtures, and furniture using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Prepare various surfaces prior to painting by washing, scraping, sanding, smoothing, and filling holes or cracks with appropriate compounds.
- Mix and match paints and other materials to achieve desired colors and textures matching the interior design specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, properly storing all painting materials, tools, and equipment after use.
- Inspect surfaces and structures to identify peeling, cracking, or wearing and execute timely touch-ups and preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and interior design teams to execute scheduled renovations, touch-ups, and special projects.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations while operating tools and handling hazardous chemical products.
- Proven professional experience as a painter, preferably within high-end hospitality, luxury residential, or premium commercial environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of painting materials, fixtures, application techniques, and surface preparation methods.
- Strong attention to detail with an exceptional eye for color matching, precision finishes, and aesthetic perfection.
- Ability to read and interpret design instructions, color schedules, and architectural specifications accurately.
- Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary hospitality team.
