About the Role
Ericsson is looking for an experienced Packet Core and Cloud Infrastructure SME to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will bridge telecom core network expertise with advanced cloud platforms, ensuring resilient, scalable, and high-performing environments for 4G and 5G services across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Design and manage cloud infrastructure supporting Packet Core including EPC, 5G NSA, and 5GC.
- Deploy and support virtualized and cloud-native network functions within large-scale production environments.
- Manage cloud platforms such as OpenStack and Kubernetes specifically for critical telecom workloads.
- Oversee the complete infrastructure lifecycle including installation, upgrades, patching, and capacity scaling.
- Drive automation and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
- Lead complex troubleshooting across network, compute, storage, and virtualization layers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 6 to 10+ years of professional experience in telecom core networks and cloud infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G EPC, and 5G Core architectures and associated call flows.
- Preferred certifications include Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) and OpenStack or VMware credentials.
