About the Role
Adonville School, a reputable private co-educational institution in Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos State, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Teacher to join its early years teaching team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the foundational learning experiences of young children, fostering their intellectual, social, and emotional development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that promote early childhood development
- Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning
- Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to parents and school management
- Develop pupils' social, emotional, and cognitive skills through structured play and interactive activities
- Maintain discipline and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in the classroom
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to enhance the overall learning experience
- Prepare learning materials, teaching aids, and classroom displays
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions as required
- NCE, HND, B.Ed., B.Sc., or B.A. in Education or a related field
- Prior experience teaching in a nursery or early years setting is an advantage
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
- Patient, creative, and passionate about working with young children
- Must reside within Baruwa, Ipaja, Ayobo, or its environs
