About the Role
Standard Specialist Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Tarauni, Kano, is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Shift Cleaning Staff member. In this vital role, you will help maintain a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and medical staff during night operations. Key Responsibilities- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene throughout all hospital premises during the night shift.
- Clean and thoroughly disinfect consulting rooms, patient wards, administrative offices, and corridors.
- Ensure the highest standards of sanitation in restrooms, washrooms, and other clinical facilities.
- Dispose of medical and general waste safely in strict accordance with hospital infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Properly handle, store, and maintain all cleaning equipment, tools, and chemical supplies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to urgent cleaning requests or spills across the facility during the night.
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent educational background.
- Proven previous experience working as a cleaner, preferably within a hospital, clinic, or healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of infection control, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and perform cleaning duties throughout a full night shift.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a respectful, compassionate attitude.
