About the Role
ipNX Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of infrastructure-based Telecommunications and Information Technology services in Nigeria, delivering reliable IP-based communications to corporate, SME, and residential customers. We are currently looking for a talented and driven Network Operations Manager to lead our Network Operations Center team. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the availability, performance, and reliability of all core, access, and customer network services, ensuring an unwavering focus on uptime, service quality, and customer experience across our expanding nationwide infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee 24/7 service monitoring for core, access, and backbone networks to ensure proactive detection, escalation, and resolution of network faults.
- Enforce ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes to guarantee strict SLA adherence and minimize downtime.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of NOC engineers, shift leads, and interns, maintaining robust 24/7 shift rosters.
- Serve as the central escalation point for major network incidents, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams, OEMs, and third-party vendors.
- Track key network performance indicators such as uptime, availability, latency, and packet loss, while driving automation and tool optimization initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree with a Second Class Upper (2.1) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a Network Operations or Service Provider environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a 24/7 NOC.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP (or equivalent Juniper/Huawei/MikroTIK), ITIL Foundation, and PMP/PRINCE2.
- Proven hands-on experience managing IP/MPLS, Transmission, and Access Network infrastructure alongside advanced fault management tools.
