Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the integrated British and Nigerian curriculum.
- Teach students vocal training, music theory, notation, and appreciation across various age groups.
- Instruct students in playing at least one musical instrument effectively, fostering practical performance skills.
- Coordinate, rehearse, and direct school choirs, instrumental bands, and musical performances for school events and assemblies.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate music into broader school themes and extracurricular activities.
- Minimum of an NCE, B.Ed, or B.A. in Music Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proven ability to teach music theory and proficiently play at least one musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, violin).
- Previous teaching experience in a structured school environment, preferably within a British/Nigerian curriculum setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
