About the Role
Grand Pela Hotels & Suites, an upscale 4-star property located in the serene Durumi district of Abuja near the American International School, is seeking a talented and creative Mixologist to join our dynamic hospitality team. Known for providing a secure and luxurious environment for business executives and leisure travelers, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier amenities and unforgettable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and continuously update an innovative cocktail menu featuring both classic and signature beverages.
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and make personalized recommendations based on individual preferences.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standard operating procedures and recipes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area adhering to strict health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Manage bar inventory, monitor stock levels, and place timely orders for supplies and ingredients.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately using the hotel point-of-sale system.
- Collaborate with kitchen and banqueting staff to support special events, private parties, and VIP functions.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bartending or mixology experience within a reputable hotel, lounge, or upscale hospitality establishment.
- In-depth knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine, and cocktail preparation.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry.
- Relevant professional certifications in hospitality, mixology, or food and beverage service will be an added advantage.
