About the Role
Mosra Enerji Limited is a market leader in energy transmission, distribution, and mining operations in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Mines Surveyor to provide technical expertise in ground support systems, site evaluations, and resource extraction processes. In this role, you will play a vital part in implementing mining plans, ensuring strict safety compliance, and driving environmental sustainability across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial land surveys, risk assessments, and environmental impact assessments on potential mining sites.
- Plan and select locations for surface and underground mining operations, specifying processes, labor usage, and equipment.
- Examine geological maps, deposits, and drilling locations to determine deposit size, accessibility, and profitability.
- Monitor mine production rates, inspect working conditions, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Design, develop, and implement computer applications for mine design, modeling, and mapping using software such as AutoCAD and MineSight.
- Predict and mitigate environmental impacts, devising effective solutions for land restoration and soil storage.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, operational schedules, and cost estimates for management personnel.
- Implement and coordinate comprehensive mine safety programs and maintenance of rescue equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Surveying, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of active mining experience in operations, engineering, and project evaluation.
- Proven expertise in surface mine design and development.
- Working knowledge of the cement manufacturing industry and mining equipment selection.
- Proficiency in surveying technology and mine planning software such as AutoCAD or Minesight.
