About the Role
Zotmann International Limited (ZIL) is a prominent holding company with core investments spanning solid mineral development, mining, manufacturing, trading, and real estate development. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Mine Surveyor to join our dynamic mining division on a permanent basis. In this vital role, you will contribute directly to accurate mine planning, efficient excavation control, and the maintenance of safe mining operations across our active sites.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive topographical, pit, stockpile, and volumetric surveys using modern equipment.
- Set out precise pit boundaries, benches, ramps, and excavation limits to guide operations.
- Measure ore and waste quantities accurately and verify mining activities against approved designs.
- Provide reliable survey data essential for strategic mine planning and production reconciliation.
- Prepare detailed survey plans, technical reports, and accurate volume calculations.
- Monitor pit geometry continuously and maintain organized, up-to-date survey records.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying, Geomatics, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience specifically in mine surveying.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating Total Stations, GNSS/GPS, and advanced digital surveying equipment.
- Working knowledge of industry-standard software such as Surpac, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Deswik.
- Strong numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Possession of a relevant professional licence is required, while drone or UAV surveying experience will be an added advantage.
