About the Role
ReelFruit is Nigeria's leading dried fruit snack company, bringing healthy, delicious, and locally sourced snacks to stores nationwide and international markets. We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team at our facility in Abeokuta. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, assembling, modifying, and repairing machinery, equipment, and metal installations, ensuring our production lines operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture and assemble machine components using advanced welding, cutting, and machining techniques.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to fabricate accurate parts.
- Operate various fabrication tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- Modify and repair existing machinery to improve performance and extend operational lifespan.
- Conduct rigorous quality control inspections to ensure all components adhere to food safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot faults and develop custom machine solutions.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering strictly to workplace safety guidelines and proper PPE usage.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in machine fabrication, metalworking, or mechanical assembly within an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in welding (MIG, TIG, Arc), machining, and CNC operations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
