About the Role
Cellulose Medical Laboratory, a biosafety class I facility committed to international best practices, is looking for a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will lead our laboratory service delivery across hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, and pathology, utilizing fully automated systems to ensure rapid and accurate diagnostics for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage all aspects of medical laboratory service provision, specimen handling, and processing.
- Establish and strengthen quality control and quality assurance programs in line with regulatory standards.
- Ensure rapid turnaround time for all specimen processing and result reporting.
- Verify and approve all outgoing laboratory results before release.
- Manage periodic equipment maintenance, recalibration, and inventory restocking.
- Maintain comprehensive laboratory logs, records, and stock cards.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance appraisals for junior laboratory staff.
- Promote a safe, professional, and compliant working environment adhering to biosafety standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS).
- Valid and current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- 2 to 5 years of post-NYSC hands-on medical laboratory experience.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional computer literacy and familiarity with automated laboratory information systems.
