About the Role
Viju Industries Nigeria Limited is a renowned leader in the beverage production industry, committed to delivering quality refreshing drinks to millions across Nigeria. We are currently expanding our technical team and looking for a dedicated and hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Personnel to join our vibrant workforce. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our production machinery, minimizing downtime, and supporting our continuous manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on all production machinery and plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to reduce operational downtime.
- Execute welding, fabrication, and metal repairs as required for plant upkeep.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls and implement effective, lasting solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and environmental regulations at all times.
- Possession of an Electrician Certificate, Trade Test, Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or relevant technical certification.
- Proven working experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong practical skills in welding, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs.
- Good working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical principles.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
