About the Role

Peace Centre Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Mathematics Teacher to join its team of highly qualified academic professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that build strong mathematical foundations while nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver interactive, learner-focused Mathematics lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Employ modern, creative, and student-centred teaching approaches that promote analytical thinking, innovation, and curiosity.
  • Continuously monitor, assess, and record student performance through tests, classwork, assignments, and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow staff members, parents, and other stakeholders to support the academic and personal development of students.
  • Establish and maintain a disciplined, safe, and engaging classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
  • Prepare and update lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials in line with the school's curriculum standards.
  • Participate actively in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programmes.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • Between 2 and 10 years of relevant teaching experience.
  • Possession of, or current pursuit of, a TRCN certification or an education-related degree/certificate.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver effective, result-oriented lessons.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
