About the Role
First Atlantic Schools, a leading international school located in Oke Ota-ona, Ikorodu, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Mathematics and ICT/Coding Teacher to join our team of educators. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics and ICT/Coding lessons in line with the school curriculum.
- Utilize Montessori teaching techniques to foster independent thinking and hands-on learning.
- Develop students’ problem-solving, analytical, and coding skills through practical, interactive activities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support for improvement.
- Integrate modern educational technology tools to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programs.
- Ensure classroom management practices that promote discipline, respect, and academic excellence.
- NCE, B.Ed., or PGDE in Education, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a similar academic setting.
- Prior experience in Montessori teaching methods is required.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics concepts and basic coding/ICT principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
