About the Role
Adonville School, a reputable private co-educational institution in Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos State, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mathematics and ICT/Coding Teacher to join its academic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that build students' logical reasoning, numerical proficiency, and digital literacy skills.
This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about integrating technology and coding into the classroom while fostering a strong foundation in Mathematics. Adonville School caters to students from Creche and Preschool through to Secondary School, offering a nurturing and structured environment for holistic learning.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics and ICT/Coding lessons in line with the school curriculum.
- Develop students' problem-solving, analytical, and computational thinking skills.
- Introduce age-appropriate coding concepts and digital tools to enhance learning outcomes.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and academic performance.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support overall curriculum development.
- Maintain discipline and encourage a culture of respect and academic excellence.
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and extracurricular activities as required.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of ICT tools and classroom resources.
- NCE, B.Ed., or PGDE in Education, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a similar academic setting.
- Experience with Montessori teaching methods is required.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics and basic coding/ICT tools suitable for young learners.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
