About the Role
Benmaris Limited is seeking a visionary and strategic Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer to lead our executive team and drive the next phase of our corporate growth. Established in 2007, we are a wholly owned Nigerian company specializing in facilities management, procurement, design and build solutions, project management, and building construction. In this executive leadership role, you will oversee complex project execution, direct our gas supply strategy, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across Nigeria's dynamic industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities- Own the integrated project execution plan, master schedule, cost baseline, risk register, and stage-gate governance framework.
- Lead the execution team by setting clear accountabilities, resolving cross-functional bottlenecks, and building internal competence and succession plans.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, preservation, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment shipped from international partners.
- Ensure stringent safety compliance, verifying that no feed gas or hazardous fluids are introduced until all statutory approvals and readiness reviews are complete.
- Direct gas supply strategies, customer qualifications, presales, and offtake agreements aligned with the overarching commissioning plan.
- Maintain robust cash-flow visibility, procurement compliance, delegated authority, and fraud-prevention controls.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with regulators, state and local authorities, host communities, and industry partners.
- Report directly to the Board of Directors on forecast milestones, critical paths, budgets, quality assurance, HSE, and risk management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a postgraduate degree or MBA is a strong advantage.
- 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in oil and gas, LNG, industrial construction, or large-scale infrastructure.
- A proven track record of successfully steering major capital projects through construction, commissioning, and operational start-up.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated expertise in gas supply and offtake contracting.
- Extensive experience successfully engaging Nigerian regulatory bodies, government agencies, and host communities.
