About the Role
UnoCasa Limited has been retained to recruit a visionary and accomplished Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer for a leading Asset Management Company in Nigeria. In this executive leadership role, you will spearhead our corporate strategic direction, significantly expand Assets Under Management (AUM), optimize portfolio performance, and ensure strict regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Nigerian capital market, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of driving sustainable profitability and operational excellence within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the Company's strategic plan to achieve sustainable long-term growth and profitability.
- Drive aggressive AUM growth, market expansion, revenue diversification, and shareholder value creation.
- Provide strategic oversight of investment management, portfolio performance, and risk-adjusted returns.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and lead the development of innovative investment products.
- Ensure sound corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls, and full regulatory compliance.
- Maintain effective relationships with the SEC, NGX, institutional investors, shareholders, and strategic partners.
- Oversee budgeting, financial performance, capital allocation, and overall cost efficiency.
- Champion digital transformation, technology adoption, and data-driven decision-making across all business units.
- Represent the Company before key stakeholders and continually enhance its corporate reputation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA or relevant Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of financial services experience, including at least 10 years in relevant investment or capital market sectors.
- Minimum of 5 years of executive or senior management experience.
- Proven track record in AUM growth, investment management, and sustainable profitability.
- Strong leadership, commercial judgment, and expert knowledge of the Nigerian capital market.
- Professional certifications such as CFA (preferred), ACA, ACCA, CIS, or FRM.
