About the Role
First Treebones Hotel & Resort, a premier luxury hospitality destination located in Umuahia, Abia State, is currently seeking skilled and reliable Maintenance Technicians to join our pre-opening team. Founded by visionary real estate developer Mr. Steven Ukpabi, our resort is dedicated to delivering world-class comfort and exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the structural, electrical, and mechanical integrity of our exclusive property, ensuring a seamless and luxurious environment for all our esteemed guests.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and kitchen equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest feedback regarding room and facility repairs.
- Conduct regular safety and operational checks on resort amenities to prevent equipment failures.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work, repairs completed, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with other resort departments to support smooth daily operations and event setups.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations, hotel policies, and environmental standards at all times.
- Relevant trade certification, vocational training, or academic qualifications in facilities management, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience in general maintenance, preferably within the hospitality, real estate, or hotel industry.
- Hardworking, professional, and well-mannered with a strong commitment to excellent guest service.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required.
