About the Role
Kejie's Hotels and Suites is an expanding hospitality establishment located in Ikom, Cross River State, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and comfort. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong background in general repairs, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and kitchen appliances.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest complaints regarding room fixtures or amenities.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational readiness.
- Handle emergency repairs swiftly and effectively to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Trade Test, or relevant technical certification in a related field.
- Proven working experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably within the hospitality or facility management sector.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize urgent tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with staff and guests.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Ikom, Cross River State.
