About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is recruiting a skilled Machine Technician on behalf of a leading FMCG company to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery. This role is critical to ensuring maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and compliance with food safety and quality standards within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.
- Install, align, and calibrate production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Support equipment upgrades and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety standards across all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve production targets.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Train machine operators on basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience within the Food Manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, welding, and fabrication.
- Proven experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems is an added advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
