About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc is part of a renowned multinational consumer goods business manufacturing some of the best-loved brands across personal care, home care, and electricals. We are currently looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our dynamic production team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in our manufacturing process, ensuring our packaging lines operate smoothly to meet business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor packaging department equipment, including stampers, wrapping machines, plodders, labellers, conveyors, casers, stackers, and coders safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor adjustments to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished packaged goods to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies, maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with production supervisors, maintenance technicians, and team members to achieve daily output targets.
- Accurately record production data, downtime logs, and maintenance activities in shift reports.
- Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Machine Operator or Packaging Technician within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly.
- Good understanding of factory safety standards, quality control protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
