About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a leader in the multinational consumer goods sector, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our production goals by ensuring the seamless operation of various packaging machinery, contributing to the delivery of trusted household brands like Imperial Leather, Cussons Baby, Morning Fresh, and Thermocool to millions of consumers across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Operate packaging department equipment efficiently, including stampers, wrapping machines, plodders, labellers, conveyors, casers, stackers, and coders.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize line performance.
- Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, quality standards, and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Monitor production output closely and report any equipment malfunctions or quality deviations to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with 5S and good manufacturing practices.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and technicians to achieve daily site and business objectives.
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven hands-on experience as a machine operator within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues quickly.
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in a factory setting.
