About the Role
Jumbo Sports Mart is a leading online retail company seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to optimize our supply chain operations. As the critical link between our warehouse and branches across Nigeria's major cities, you'll ensure products move efficiently, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining seamless coordination between all operational teams.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate stock movement between warehouse and branches; ensure timely replenishment based on stock levels and approved requisitions
- Verify product quantity and condition before dispatch and on receipt; support stock counts and reconciliation activities
- Plan efficient delivery routes and schedules; supervise drivers and logistics assistants to meet delivery targets
- Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance, fuel consumption, and manage third-party logistics providers effectively
- Maintain accurate waybills, delivery notes, and transfer records; prepare comprehensive logistics reports tracking timelines and cost efficiency
- Enforce company policies and standardized processes across all stock handling; maintain clear audit trails for compliance
- Collaborate with Branch Managers, Sales, Technical, and Warehouse teams to resolve delivery issues promptly
- Identify and escalate potential delays, shortages, or losses with recommended solutions
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, inventory, or supply chain operations (retail or multi-branch experience preferred)
- Inter-state distribution experience is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and solve problems under pressure
