About the Role
Golden Bell's Multi Concepts (GBMC) Limited is a premier hospitality consulting and management firm dedicated to delivering world-class service standards. We are currently looking for a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguard to join our gym and swimming pool department at our Peter Odili location in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable aquatic environment for our esteemed guests and members.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain constant surveillance of swimmers and pool guests to prevent accidents and ensure safety compliance.
- Respond promptly, professionally, and effectively to emergency situations, rescues, and first aid requirements.
- Enforce all facility rules, safety guidelines, and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
- Inspect the pool area, rescue equipment, and chemical levels regularly, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues immediately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests, answering inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Participate in regular safety training drills, rescue practice, and staff meetings.
- Keep the pool deck and surrounding facilities clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Relevant certifications in lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid from a recognized authority.
- Proven professional experience working as a lifeguard in a hotel, resort, gym, or commercial swimming pool.
- Strong swimming abilities and excellent physical fitness endurance.
- Vigilant observation skills with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Residing in or willing to commute to Peter Odili, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
