About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Legal Officer to manage our Corporate Search Desk and provide vital regulatory support across our branch network and business units.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct efficient corporate searches directly through the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) portal for onboarding and credit appraisals.
- Prepare, review, and issue accurate, standardized corporate status reports in line with internal guidelines.
- Manage statutory fee payments, maintain precise financial reconciliations, and adhere to approved tariff structures.
- Ensure secure handling of portal credentials, payment cards, and confidential transaction alerts.
- Escalate material inconsistencies in entity records and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews relating to corporate documentation.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.).
- 2 to 3 years of relevant post-NYSC experience in legal practice or corporate environments.
- CAC accreditation is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in utilizing the CAC online portal for company searches and status reports.
- Strong legal drafting, analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
