About the Role
Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to fill the position of Lecturer II in Mass Communication within the School of Liberal Studies. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Mass Communication to undergraduate and sub-degree students.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Supervise student research projects, practical portfolios, and academic assignments at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels.
- Participate actively in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic committee assignments.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and foster linkages with the media industry and corporate organizations.
- Assess student performance through examinations, continuous assessments, and practical evaluations.
- Doctorate degree in Mass Communication or a closely related relevant discipline, supported by at least three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience.
- Master's degree holders must also present at least three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Serving Lecturer III candidates with a Master's degree who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, two (2) conference papers, and two (2) published journal articles are also eligible to apply.
