About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on June 29, 2026, the institution is dedicated to widening access to quality higher education and preparing graduates for a fast-changing world. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Lecturer I in Science Laboratory within the Faculty of Science and Computing to join our vibrant academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and tutorials for undergraduate students in Science Laboratory and related disciplines.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic profile of the university.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, laboratory experiments, and academic research activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic committee assignments.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Must possess a PhD degree in Science Laboratory Technology or a closely related field from a reputable and accredited university.
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a university environment.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of eight (8) scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals.
