About the Role
Flutterwave is seeking a strategic Lead Auditor, Data & Analytics for our Group Internal Audit Function based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this hybrid audit and data engineering role, you will be the technical foundation of an AI-native internal audit function, designing data pipelines and AI monitoring agents that scale through automation and continuous assurance across our pan-African payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver the data layer for continuous assurance, securing read-only access to production data in partnership with engineering teams.
- Build and operate AI-powered monitoring agents across settlements, reconciliations, revenue assurance, and API transaction integrity.
- Maintain the live Assurance Dashboard to track top risks, revenue leakage, critical findings, and control failures.
- Ensure data protection, privacy, and residency requirements are rigorously integrated into every data pipeline and monitoring agent.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Treasury, and Risk to enable proactive assurance while preserving audit independence.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience building data pipelines, analytics, or automation solutions within financial services, fintech, or banking.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, modern cloud data warehouses, and business intelligence dashboard platforms.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building anomaly detection, reconciliation, or monitoring models on large transaction datasets.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CFE, or relevant cloud and data engineering credentials are highly preferred.
