About the Role
Corinthia Villa Hotel, a prestigious 70-room luxury boutique hotel located in the serene business hub of Garki 2, Abuja, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our first-class standards by ensuring all linens, garments, and guest laundry are impeccably cared for, contributing to unforgettable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Sort dirty linens and garments by color, fabric type, and degree of soil while inspecting for tears or damage.
- Apply specialized stain-removal techniques and pre-treat spots prior to washing.
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely with precise detergent measurements.
- Fold and neatly store clean towels, sheets, and uniforms, organizing them on carts for efficient distribution.
- Process personal laundry requests from guests accurately and deliver them promptly to their rooms.
- Maintain a clean and safe laundry workspace daily by clearing lint traps, sweeping floors, and reporting equipment issues to maintenance.
- Minimum of a SSCE or relevant certification in hospitality or related fields.
- Proven experience working as a laundry attendant or in a similar housekeeping role within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with commercial laundry machinery, chemicals, and fabric care techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with laundry operations.
