About the Role
Golden Bell's Multi Concepts (GBMC) Limited is a premier hospitality consulting and management firm committed to delivering exceptional service standards. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and diligent Laundry Attendant to join our dynamic laundry department at our Port Harcourt facility. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the pristine condition of all linens, uniforms, and guest garments, ensuring an overall superior guest experience.
Key Responsibilities- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens, towels, and guest garments efficiently and according to established quality standards.
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and pressing machines, ensuring safe and optimal operation.
- Inspect finished laundry for stains, damage, or remaining dirt, and re-wash or report issues as necessary.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of laundry supplies, chemicals, and linens, reporting any shortages to management promptly.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene standards within the laundry facility to prevent contamination and accidents.
- Handle guest laundry requests promptly, professionally, and with a strong customer-service mindset.
- Keep the laundry work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Minimum of a SSCE or relevant academic qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven working experience as a laundry attendant or in a similar housekeeping role within the hospitality industry.
- Good understanding of various fabric types and appropriate washing, drying, and ironing techniques.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Residents along the Peter Odili axis or within Port Harcourt are strongly encouraged to apply.
