About the Role
Cedarcrest Hospitals, a leading specialist medical care centre located in the heart of Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our growing team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our medical and surgical teams by performing accurate diagnostic tests, maintaining equipment, and upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and efficiently to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Handle, process, and label biological specimens in compliance with established safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly to ensure precision and reliability of results.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all laboratory tests and quality control data.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver prompt diagnostic reports.
- Adhere strictly to safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards within the laboratory environment.
- Possession of relevant academic qualifications in Medical Laboratory Science or a related discipline.
- Must hold a current, valid professional license from the relevant regulatory body.
- Prior working experience in a recognized hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting will be an added advantage.
