About the Role
Tongyi Allied Mining Limited is a leading multinational mining company with extensive operations across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a reliable, clean, and organized Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Abuja. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our daily culinary operations, ensuring food preparation runs smoothly, and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen environment at all times.
- Wash, peel, cut, chop, and arrange various ingredients efficiently following kitchen procedures.
- Specialize in the preparation of steamed buns and dumplings as required.
- Handle all food items and kitchen equipment safely and properly.
- Sanitize utensils, work surfaces, and cooking equipment regularly.
- Minimize food waste and assist the culinary team with daily kitchen tasks.
- Minimum of an OND in any relevant discipline.
- Diploma or Certificate in Catering and Hospitality Management is an added advantage.
- Prior working experience in a professional kitchen environment is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to make steamed buns and dumplings.
- Possess excellent cutting, chopping, and general food preparation skills.
- Strong understanding of basic food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Must be obedient, honest, punctual, hardworking, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
