About the Role
A well-established law firm is looking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Associate to join its growing legal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm's corporate, commercial, property, and taxation practice areas, working closely with senior associates and partners to deliver excellent legal service to clients.
This role is ideal for a young, ambitious lawyer who has been called to the Nigerian Bar and is eager to build a solid foundation in legal practice within a professional and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare briefs, memos, and case notes.
- Attend court hearings, arbitration proceedings, and client meetings as required.
- Assist in managing corporate transactions, including regulatory compliance and due diligence.
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice to clients under supervision.
- Support case preparation, including document compilation and evidence organisation.
- Maintain proper case files, legal records, and client correspondence.
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) and must be called to the Nigerian Bar.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in corporate/commercial law, property law, and taxation.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
