About the Role
WTS Energy is the leading Consultant and Manpower Supply company to the international Oil, Gas, and Energy industry, operating globally with offices in 16 countries. We are currently seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build practical experience in electrical power systems, design, and project execution within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities- Support electrical engineering tasks related to power systems, including cabling, switchgear, transformers, and protection principles.
- Prepare, review, and interpret electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office to support day-to-day operations.
- Assist with electrical design and documentation activities, collaborating with senior colleagues to ensure technical accuracy and project compliance.
- Contribute to power projects, site support, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical procurement documentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience, or recent graduates with strong industrial training, internships, or SIWES experience.
- Foundational understanding of electrical power systems, electrical drawings, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and protection principles.
- Working familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; exposure to ETAP, Revit, or similar electrical design tools is an added advantage.
