About the Role
Dr. Peter Odili Cancer & Cardiovascular Hospital (POCCH) is a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Port Harcourt, dedicated to delivering advanced, compassionate medical care at international standards. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Junior Developer to support the development, testing, integration, and maintenance of our mobile and backend applications. In this role, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team leveraging cutting-edge technology to streamline hospital operations and enhance patient care experiences across our specialized departments.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable mobile applications using Dart and Flutter.
- Contribute to backend service development and maintenance using PHP/Laravel and Node.js.
- Design, query, and manage SQL databases to ensure data integrity and optimal application performance.
- Integrate third-party services and RESTful APIs to connect various hospital systems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging using tools like Postman and Git/GitHub.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in Windows and macOS environments to deliver robust software solutions.
- First degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Mandatory completion or exemption of the NYSC program.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant software development experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Dart/Flutter, PHP/Laravel, JavaScript/Node.js, SQL, Git/GitHub, and Postman.
- Familiarity with both Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, excellent teamwork, and a strong willingness to learn.
