About the Role
A&R Group is a dynamic Nigerian conglomerate operating across real estate, hospitality, mining, and construction. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounts department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily transactions, and supporting our ongoing property development projects.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate daily records of income, expenses, payments, and receipts within the company accounting system.
- Process vendor and contractor payments while monitoring outstanding receivables and client property balances.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, cash management, and petty cash tracking.
- Track project-related expenses against approved budgets and support variance reporting.
- Prepare documentation for tax filings, statutory remittances, and support internal and external audits.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience in a structured environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Basic understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory deductions.
- Strong analytical skills, high integrity, and excellent attention to detail.
- Progress towards ICAN or ACCA certification is an added advantage.
