Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive internal control reviews, risk assessments, and rigorous control testing across all operational units.
- Monitor financial transactions and daily processes proactively to detect irregularities, control gaps, and potential fraudulent activities.
- Ensure full compliance with internal corporate policies, Central Bank of Nigeria regulations, and relevant statutory banking requirements.
- Maintain detailed control exception logs and risk registers while actively monitoring the implementation of corrective actions.
- Support both internal and external audit processes, follow up on audit findings, and prepare accurate periodic management reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in internal control, risk management, or audit, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong working knowledge of CBN regulations, microfinance requirements, and operational, credit, fraud, and regulatory risks.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting control reviews, transaction monitoring, and audit follow-ups.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ACA, ACAMS, CIA, CRMA, or equivalent will be a strong added advantage.
