The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Intern Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic diagnostic healthcare team. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests under the supervision of senior medical laboratory scientists.
- Ensure accurate collection, labeling, processing, and analysis of patient biological specimens.
- Maintain strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols, quality control standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot advanced laboratory equipment and diagnostic instruments.
- Accurately document test results and manage patient data within the hospital information system.
- Participate in departmental training sessions, research activities, and continuous professional development programs.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from a recognized university.
- Must be duly registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Possession of a current provisional practicing license from MLSCN.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to high standards of patient care.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
