About the Role
The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Intern Dental Therapist to join our dynamic medical team. Key Responsibilities- Assist senior dental therapists and surgeons in clinical procedures and patient examinations.
- Conduct oral health education and preventive dental care campaigns for diverse patient demographics.
- Perform scaling, polishing, and other routine therapeutic dental treatments under supervision.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment histories, and inventory of dental supplies.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards within the dental unit.
- Participate in community outreach programs aimed at improving public dental health awareness.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Dental Therapy from a recognized health institution.
- Evidence of provisional or full registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare team.
