About the Role
Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC) is a reputable trading firm specializing in the export of premium quality raw cocoa beans and cashew from Nigeria. Our expertise in sourcing, quality control, and logistics makes us a reliable partner for global businesses. We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Specialist to manage and coordinate all insurance matters across the Group, ensuring robust protection of our assets, operations, and liabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Group's entire insurance portfolio, maintaining an up-to-date register of policies, premiums, and renewal dates.
- Coordinate annual insurance renewals, obtain multiple quotations, and lead negotiations on premiums and coverage terms.
- Oversee claims management from notification through settlement, working closely with insurers and brokers to ensure prompt recovery.
- Conduct risk assessments, support enterprise risk management initiatives, and advise management on emerging risks.
- Serve as the primary contact point for insurance brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, policy warranties, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports on insurance costs, claims status, and coverage adequacy.
- Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CIIN, ACII, or CIP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant insurance experience within an insurance company, brokerage firm, or large corporate organization.
- Extensive knowledge of the Nigerian insurance market and various classes of insurance including Marine Cargo, Property Damage, and Liability.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, claims administration, and advanced Excel skills.
