About the Role
Monarch Techno Engineering Solutions (MTES) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Technician to join our growing team of engineering professionals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects within the Oil & Gas, Construction, and Engineering Design sectors, contributing to the delivery of safe, efficient, and technically sound solutions.
As an Instrumentation Technician at MTES, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems across various project sites. You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure that all instrumentation activities align with industry standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments and control systems in line with project specifications
- Perform loop checking, troubleshooting, and fault-finding on instrumentation and control systems
- Interpret and work with P&IDs, I&C drawings, datasheets, and technical specifications
- Support commissioning and start-up activities for DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and calibration records
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues promptly
- Participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance programs
- Adhere strictly to HSE policies and procedures on all project sites
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electronics, or Control & Automation)
- 5–12+ years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Control within Oil & Gas or EPC projects
- Hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA systems, field instruments, calibration, and loop checking
- Strong knowledge of P&IDs, I&C drawings, datasheets, and technical specifications
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
- Mandatory certifications: ISA/IEC 61511 (preferred) or relevant instrumentation certification, First Aid & CPR, H2S Alive, Permit to Work (PTW), and Basic Fire Fighting (preferred)
