About the Role
Payzeep is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing technology team in Nigeria. In this role, you will manage our critical server infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring system reliability, security, and optimal performance. You will be instrumental in supporting our digital financial services, payment platforms, and regulatory compliance requirements within a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, patch, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtual machines, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, File Services, and enterprise storage systems.
- Support cloud infrastructure deployments and optimize resource utilization across Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement server-hardening standards, vulnerability remediation, and access-control policies aligned with PCI-DSS and CBN frameworks.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Automate routine operational tasks and deployment processes using scripting tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure support, leading incident response and root-cause analysis for technical issues.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of total relevant experience in systems administration, with 6+ years specifically in fintech, banking, or regulated environments.
- Strong expertise in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and Windows Server environments.
- Relevant professional certifications such as RHCE or MCSE are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and NDPA data protection standards.
