About the Role
Mshel Homes Limited, a leading independent real estate company in Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Design Engineer. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing, reviewing, and coordinating comprehensive engineering designs for our ongoing infrastructure development projects, ensuring they are technically sound, cost-effective, and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare precise engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for roads, drainage systems, earthworks, and associated real estate infrastructure.
- Develop and review detailed layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and construction drawings in alignment with project requirements.
- Conduct thorough design assessments, evaluating site conditions, survey information, and geotechnical engineering reports.
- Ensure all designs strictly comply with relevant codes, Nigerian regulatory requirements, and industry construction specifications.
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, land surveyors, contractors, and other technical professionals to resolve design conflicts.
- Provide expert technical support during construction phases and promptly respond to site queries.
- Participate actively in design reviews, project planning sessions, and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiarity with additional engineering design software is a strong advantage.
- Comprehensive understanding of road geometry, drainage design, earthworks, and standard infrastructure construction practices.
- Active COREN registration or verifiable progress toward professional engineering certification.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical drawing interpretation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
