About the Role
Gardenia Resort, a premier family-owned boutique hotel in Port Harcourt, is looking for an energetic and charismatic Hypeman to join our team. This role is central to creating vibrant, engaging atmospheres at events, guest functions, and entertainment programs hosted at our resort, which caters to corporate executives, business travelers, and premium leisure guests. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, confidence, and stage presence to every event, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable and lively experience that reflects the resort's prestigious brand.
Key Responsibilities- Energize and engage guests during resort events, parties, and special functions
- Coordinate with the entertainment and events team to plan engaging programs
- Interact confidently with diverse audiences, including corporate guests and VIPs
- Maintain a lively, professional, and welcoming atmosphere at all times
- Assist in hosting and moderating events, ensuring smooth flow and guest satisfaction
- Promote resort activities and encourage guest participation in scheduled events
- Collaborate with DJs, entertainers, and event staff to deliver seamless experiences
- Uphold the resort's brand image through professionalism and charisma
- Relevant experience as a Hypeman, MC, or in a similar entertainment/hospitality role
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Strong stage presence with the ability to engage and energize a crowd
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a premium hospitality environment
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in the hospitality or entertainment industry is an advantage
