About the Role
Jamub Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to the successful planning, design, and execution of essential water infrastructure projects, including drainage systems, water supply networks, and borehole facilities. Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end design and execution of drainage infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of water supply systems to meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Supervise the design, drilling, and construction of borehole infrastructure for sustainable water access.
- Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to inform infrastructure design decisions.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports for water resource projects.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during project execution.
- Ensure all hydraulic engineering works comply with COREN standards and relevant Nigerian regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site personnel as required.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
- Valid COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) registration is mandatory.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic engineering, water infrastructure, or related projects.
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems, water supply networks, and borehole construction techniques.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and tools relevant to hydraulic and civil engineering.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound understanding of Nigerian engineering codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
