About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across our facilities. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily checks and routine preventive maintenance on split units, package units, central AC systems, and ventilation units.
- Respond promptly to maintenance and cooling complaints, ensuring fast and effective resolution.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical faults including gas leaks, compressor failures, and electrical issues.
- Handle gas refilling, filter and coil cleaning, and belt replacements as required.
- Maintain cold rooms, freezers, refrigerators, and kitchen cooling equipment.
- Strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and facility protocols.
- Collaborate with the electrical and general maintenance teams to support overall facility upkeep.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or relevant Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience as an HVAC or AC technician.
- Deep technical understanding of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and electrical controls.
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
- Physical fitness with the ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and operate in plant rooms.
