About the Role
Whassan Nigeria Limited (WENL), operating since 1982, is a premier provider of catering and facilities management services to the upstream oil and gas sector. We are currently looking for a dedicated and qualified HSE Officer to join our dynamic team and maintain our high standards of workplace safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all operational sites.
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Enforce food safety and hygiene standards in alignment with industry best practices.
- Liaise with relevant government regulatory agencies and manage compliance documentation.
- Conduct safety training sessions and promote a proactive safety culture among catering and facilities staff.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace accidents, providing actionable recommendations for prevention.
- Bachelor's Degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline.
- Mandatory HSE Level 1, 2, and 3 certifications.
- Valid food safety and hygiene certification.
- NEBOSH certification will be considered a strong added advantage.
- 5 to 10 years of proven professional experience in industrial catering or a similar sector.
- Strong understanding of catering hygiene standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
